Arts and Culture in Cambridge: The Election Debate

Europe Day Hustings: General Elections & Brexit

Tuesday 9th May, 5pm

Do you know what the candidates for Cambridge have planned for the next five years? What are their plans for post-Brexit Britain? Would like to ask them those questions yourself?

On Europe Day, join Cambridge University European Society and the Wilberforce Society for European-themed hustings with all the main candidates for Cambridge, following the launch of the Cambridge Brexit report outlining recommendations to the Government on how best to prepare for a future outside the EU.

Human Rights, Equality and Refugees hustings

Wednesday 17th May, 7:45pm

Local campaign groups join forces to hold election candidates’ debate on refugees, human rights and racism. The candidates of the main parties fighting for the Cambridge seat in the General Election will be taking part in a hustings debate at Emmanuel Reformed United Church on May 17th.

Cambridge Questions Election Special

Thursday 25th May, 7:30pm

Parliamentary candidates including Stuart Tuckwood are to take part in a special edition of Cambridge 105 Radio’s Cambridge Questions. They’ll be joined by the former Guardian journalist Terry Macalister for the programme that will be recorded on stage at The Portland Arms, Chesterton Road on Thursday May 25th.

The community radio station will be recording the programme for broadcast over the weekend of May 27/28th.

It will be hosted by Cambridge 105’s election presenter Julian Clover.

Cambridge Assessment is hosting a parliamentary candidate hustings for the Cambridge constituency. The hustings provide a forum for our staff and members of the public to hear from four of the Cambridge City parliamentary candidates as they debate their policies and answer questions from the audience.
